Our advocacy mahi vision

To advance social justice, human rights and human dignity for all in Aotearoa New Zealand and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

We do this through a number of ways in the policy advocacy space:

  • Supporting social workers
  • Promoting the social work profession
  • Influencing public policy
  • Partnering and collaborating

Our Social Justice Engagement Strategy details how we aim to achieve this, and our organisational priorities for action.

Our priorities for 2024 are:

  • Social work student hardship
  • Social Work Supervision
  • Social Worker wellbeing, workload, pay parity and equity
  • Equity and social justice issues currently facing Aotearoa New Zealand

Below you will be able to find details of opportunities to get involved in this work as they arise.
