Graduate Support Programme

 

Applications have now closed for our 2024 Graduate Support Programme

Our Graduate Support Programme will support you, as a new or recently qualified tauwhiro/social worker, to transition into your professional social work role. We use a tuakana-teina approach, where our more experienced tauwhiro mentor our newly qualified tauwhiro. We’ll connect you with other new and recent graduates and with experienced social worker mentors. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with your group at a monthly mentoring online hui. Through participation in our Graduate Support Programme, you will:

  • strengthen your professional identity as a qualified social worker;
  • benefit from peer and mentor support;
  • access additional learning opportunities targeted at new and recent graduates, and 
  • be supported to reflect on the transition into professional social work practice.   

Please note: You need to be a member of ANZASW to apply and the programme is free to ANZASW members. You can join ANZASW here. We offer new graduates without organisational support a 50% discount on their full membership fees.
